What are your thoughts on the conflict between creativity and conformity in aesthetics (art)?
Is there a basic conflict between the conformity (following rules) and creativity (the exploration of new methods and means of expression)? Apparently, no art can be created without some technical knowledge (tradition), however, the tradition is widely regarded as one impedment in the processes of creative thinking, freedom Artist and so on, and an engine based artist is the willingness to bend tradition to review the rules and norms of society. In the east, it seems that the conflict is not as straightforward. The art and tradition seems to be in better harmony. Martial arts, painting, the art of bonsai, etc. .. All professionals are expected to show a deep appreciation of the tradition before they can be creative and that its creation must still respect what the cumulative tradition.
All art is manipulation symbols to express an idea or an emotion. The conflict arises from the desire and the need for original creation. You have to manipulate the existing (traditional) symbols to express a new symbol is meant as an idea or an emotion. To express this, the artist should make pliable tradition without destroying symbols. One side must always be a face no matter how strange it represents.
