serissa foetida
Serissa Foetida Bonsai Installation, Part 1
bonsai tree help?
we bought a Serissa foetida in winter and have noticed it has been a recurring problem for which the mold is growing on the ground. Make sure that we were in irrigation have changed the habits of irrigation, and have changed our methods of immersing it. to scrape the ground with regularly to remove mold, but reappears after a day or two. assume that the only thing we can do is return to the pot tree, but not sure how to do this without damaging in any way? We also had difficulty finding useful guides on the internet care so if anyone can point of us in the right direction would be very grateful! thanks. the mold is gray / white.
I have grown hundreds of serissas. The cast is certainly that remain too wet. The best thing would return to pot. Serissas are very hardy plants – probably the easiest of tropical plants. Despite having a trend of falling leaves, usually recovers. You did not hurt at all if you just do not force anything. Once out of the pot and clear most of the soil age, check to see if the roots have rotted from being too wet. If so, prune. No water from the bottom, which will encourage root rot, water from the top like any other plant. Serissas would be a little damp but not wet. If water from the top, you can know when need water again easier by the dry top soil. Here is a link to Flori-data which give the conditions for growth. http://www.floridata.com/ref/S/seri_foe.cfm Other … Bonsai Club International http://www.bonsai-bci.com/species/serissa.html
