Bonsai-how-to: Flowering Bonsai Trees

What are the important things to do in the beginning of the bonsai as a hobby?

Please give me an idea of what trees can be used better. I do not like the flowering plants. I like to grow bonsai trees resembling large trees. I also want my tree to grow to a maximum about 12inches, and I also like the informal upright style. Thanks.

FIRST, decide whether you want to grow indoor or outdoor bonsai. We invite to read the Bonsai Care page on my site I wrote: http://www.american-bonsai.com, and note several species that can be used in any interior sections and external. You may also want to start with a well established tree, of course, be more tolerant than you do. Once you get used to working with bonsai, you can enjoy thoroughly.

mini bonsai

It's easy to get caught in bonsai picture books. These small trees will not cease to evoke feelings of peace and rest because of their aesthetic appeal. Indeed, would be a wonderful fantasy to walk through beautiful avenues of trees mini. The beauty of this ancient art is perhaps the main reason why many people want to learn to replicate what teachers do.

In the past, the search for small natural specimens was quite dramatic. serious collectors would have to walk through extensions to long or steep terrain in the cold sometimes fair to detect the perfect plant. Once located, careful excavation would to continue to ensure its perfect shape and condition. A picture book old bonsai could even show how a carefully carries a prized collector find from their place of origin back home.

Of course, there was no need to search for specimens and weathering. Art teachers could easily double the effects of the nature of different types of trees such as azaleas, rhododendrons, maples, cherry and peach trees. The best experts could play the old Gradient complete look with small flowers or fruit.

The best way to learn the art is to ask to become an apprentice. In general, because this art originated in Japan, the best specialists to look for are the Japanese. These days however, it is also likely to find a bonsai ebook is written by a teacher who is not Japanese. These are often people who have made great efforts not only to learn the art form but to discover the historical and cultural importance of these trees in miniature. With real teachers, not only learn to produce dwarf plants. You also learn what makes it an important part of Japanese culture and what is expected of you as an aspiring teacher.

A good manual can be as good as a true master. Some of the basic methods you can expect to learn from written expert guide are safe for pots and transplant the appropriate wiring tweaks and correct. excellent bonsai books can also give you a better understanding of how select the perfect tree, how to raise dwarf seeds and how to incorporate miniature samples in an impressive landscape. With a good guide, which can to be so good that no one is believed to be the creator of such beautiful specimens.

There are many different guides trying to compete for your attention. Not all of them can help you achieve the aesthetic effect you want. Although there is no need to strictly follow a Japanese teacher, who must want to follow someone who has learned one or more authentic materials or courses. Check the contents of a guide and find out who wrote it.

Not need to walk through the snow to create a forest perfect small trees. A book bonsai education may be all you need to become a true expert of miniature trees. Find a real source of expert information and begin your journey of relaxation in a world of beauty.

How do I prepare my bonsai tree outdoors for the winter?

I have three trees, juniper bonsai "trees outdoors. "I live in Chicago, and wanted to take measures to ensure that if my trees do it again next year. I pruned all and diluted the roots in spring. I fertilize once in spring as well. All three are very healthy, and I'm looking for pointers on what to do for the winter. Thanks in advance!

Please read the Bonsai Care page on my site: http://www.american-bonsai.com about bonsai winter outdoors. Whatever you have to do to keep them above 30, but go down to 30 for most of their winter. Do not forget to water them on weekly basis. Of course, in snow ground water is excellent. Some things you can do ….. 1) to keep in the garage or tool shed, 2) Bury the pot on a bed of flowers and mulch, or 3) Keep in styrofoam containers insulated with newspapers. We invite you to send an email to: wchoat@american-bonsai.com with more questions.

Pruning Japanese Maple Tree Pre Bonsai Part 1

Creating a bonsai forest … any advice?

Ok, so I have lots and lots of bonsai trees and recently decided to creat a "Bonsai forest" of maple seedlings. Basically I want to keep everyone in the same pot and make a mini forest. Has anyone done one of these? Is it healthy to be bonsai in the same pot? Any advice on pruning the roots and transplant when the time if their roots grow together? Any advice at all?? If you know nothing about plants please do not answer that … because I find you intelligent …

Not a lot of books and websites web on the subject. Some of the most famous bonsai, as John Naka's Goshin a plantation forest. Each tree represents one of his grandchildren. So, no, there is no reason not to. I have several sweetgum forest plantations bonsai myself. A lot of forest plantations are not actually replanted. It is very difficult to move the various trees, at the same time none of them being damaged. They are usually potted together in a shallow pan and very likely to stay there. Tips always plant an odd number of trees more natural. Choose a large tree as the focal point, and put in the front of the plantation, the trees another small step back and sides.

The Art of Bonsai

looking for a bonsai tree? a and height?

Well, I was bored watching on ebay (as you do) and my nan is gardening and I thought What if I can now buy seeds, grow some and give it to her for Christmas I think I want a bonsai tree height grow red? how much to grow now for Christmas if I can buy seeds? could I just let it germinate in some soil in a tray deepish then pot in a bigger pot to give my nan? thankyou tim what age would you say is http://www.bonsaigardener.org/japanese-maple-care.html? and the approximate height?

Tim, the tree the link you provided is probably about 20 years old. The seeds on eBay are like all bonsai tree seeds regular tree seed. Bonsai is the art of cultivating the training and the miniaturization of trees, there are special plants. If you started a tree now would probably be about 6 to 8 inches high by Christmas and be a tree with no leaves to be that time of year. If you did everything right it would take about 3 years to have something really looked like a bonsai. It would be better to go to a home center and buy a small tree and start from there. There are many web sites that can help you get started.

Bonsai trees? Plz help!?

well i really wanted a bonsai tree, so I bought one of 'Lil installation of this store. I took the tree house and I'm looking on the Internet about how to properly care for my bonsai. My only problem is, is that I have no idea what kind it is?! You have to know what kind of tree you have to say how to care for him, so I'm going to is the best description I can. The tree is like fern. Holidays are smaller in size, are light green, but many of them have Blocher EDEs white around the leaves. The leaves are simple (not compound) and alternated along the branch. The leaves are smooth on the edge, and are round / oval. There is no real "trunck" the tree. only has a thick branch that leaves the soil and then branches into a bunch of smaller branches. nad that's all I can think to say about it, I hope that was enough information. I have another question. Why is moss on the top if the floor of my tree?

You give a very good description. Chances are that serrissa 'also known as "snow rose", but if you send a photo to me at: wchoat@american-bonsai.com, I will positively identify that, then send to supplement the care instructions of that kind in. You may also want to check Bonsai Care page on my site http://www.american-bonsai.com

Crassula Ovata

All leaves have fallen off my Jade plant (Crassula). Help?

It's in a pot. I put in the yard for a day or two and dropped it your all their leaves during the night!

Over watering is the usual cause of this. Bring back within an area not too much sunlight. It must grow new leaves at the time. Crassula need very little water – maybe once a week in summer and none in winter.

drama in the bonsai forums

Bonsai occasion …. if he would cut a bonsai tree / shrub in any form, what should you choose??

My last question for the day … Let's pretend that Bobby Bonsai our regular adorable special plant lover funny guy in Religion & Spirituality forum, would be chosen to make a plant more honorable, a bonsai tree. This plant is located in an area of importance and be given the honor of cutting to take any form of spiritual transcendence. There would as a symbol for many generations to come. Ahh young grasshopper, what design was chosen and what is the spiritual symbolism of this design?

Knowing Bobby, probably two hands praying. The rate is remarkable. :)
